Maoi Swim is a WOC-owned and operated brand that provides sustainable swimwear for the modern beach woman. Our Story

Maoi was founded in 2020 by Julia Muniz Robinson, a passionate Brazilian entrepreneur, surfer and model who wanted to create a brand that celebrates diversity, inclusivity, and sustainability. 

Cayla Moore recently joined Julia as a co-owner, bringing her expertise as an artist and entrepeneur. As a native Hawaiian, Cayla is reinforcing the brand's core values, which are based in Hawaiian and Brazilian values, including inclusivity, sustainability, and empowering women.

Together, Julia and Cayla are leading Maoi Swim to new heights and furthering the brand's mission of providing sustainable and empowering swimwear for the modern beach woman.

In addition to our focus on sustainable fashion, we aim to bring awareness to environmental and social issues through our social media channels and other platforms. The Maoi Swim team is made up of 5 empowered, fierce, and visionary women who are committed to making a positive impact in the world. Being part of this brand means being part of a community of goddesses who share a passion for creating a better world, and who believe in the power of love, compassion, and inspiration to effect change.

Our Products

All of our swimsuits are designed in-house and made entirely of sustainable materials. We thought about everything - from production to our shipping bags and method - to ensure that our products are eco-friendly and reduce our impact on the planet. Our suits are made ethically in Bali from Italian fabrication, ensuring that they are not only beautiful, but also made with care and attention to detail.

While we currently offer a range of styles that cater to almost all body types, we acknowledge that we have work to do when it comes to offering a wider range of sizes. As a small company, we are committed to expanding our sizing options as we grow, and we want to be transparent and honest with our supporters about our progress.
